Guess what? It’s International Clown Week! We can all use a break from this summer—actually 17 months—of malaise. With a great deal of difficulty because there are so many many gloriously silly people I adore, I’ve picked a pair of old reliables, a new vaudeville team, and a modern genius. I hope they will inspire you to come up with your own ways of injecting some hilarity into your week. And, of course, they might make you hungry. Enjoy!

And, finally, one of the world’s greatest performance artists and modern clowns….
….Slava Polunin. The following clip doesn’t have food at its heart, but it’s a terrific introduction to his truly amazing show, Slava’s Snowshow!
