What a thrill to have that right in your neighborhood, Pat. I am praying, in my own way, for syria and a peaceful outcome. Also praying for Israel to keep its damned nose out of it! I understand their (Israeli) concerns but if they insist on bombs to make their point, they are lighting a match next to an overloaded can of gasoline. Let the Syrians handle their newfound country!
Amen to that! They're just protecting their borders now, right? May they continue to do that. I just heard that Syrians were one of the first big groups to settle in our neighborhood--put the year around the Assad senior took over. You should have been there! There was dancing and little kids on their parents shoulders clapping and the restaurant was giving out food.
