Mine was Paula. I waitressed nights for a few months at an Irish pub. I relieved her when I came in for my shift allowing her to sit at the bar, have a couple drinks, smoke, and work on the Times crossword puzzle. I knew she wondered why I was working there.

It amazes me how deeply we remember women like Dolly and Paula now and the role they played in our young lives. In a way we were sort of lucky to meet them when we did.

Thank you for the best wishes! He's doing better and high as possible on morphine. If he wasn't 80 pounds and a fearful dog at the best of time, we'd have him home today. Hopefully tomorrow.
