Approbation? Anyway, were Americans in the 1860s eating Key Lime Pie? One wonders. If one has but a single arm, would that impede consuming pie?

As always you made me do research! There's a rumor about it being perfected in the 1880s by a cook in Key West. But the one we know is from around 1931 from promotion of Borden Condense Milk. When it comes to pie, one arm will do perfectly fine. In similar territory, hope you got home in one piece!
