A valid excuse to bake a tart. Specifically Melktert, a milk tart from South Africa. Rather than perk you up, it'll make you feel that modern times aren't all bad. A glass of port helps, too.
Regarding substack quirks, I've noticed that if I schedule a post for later, sometimes, substack will publish the post but not email it. That's probably what happened to you. In that case, just do exactly what you did and manually publish the piece again and it'll get emailed.

It's happened to me twice, that's why I know about this. Other than that glitch, I've been very happy with Substack. It's a great platform.
