What I love about this particular table is if you look closer it's actually part of a booth so I imagined as a kid grabbing the corner, stretching out and reading/eating/making annoying kid comments to my family going in and out. There's a whole story in that corner

Very sad! Hopefully he got to live somewhere that also has nice dogs visit from time to time.

That part of the daily walk has really gotten to be sort of a silent prayer he is.

The passage of time and the accumulation of belongings can be overwhelming. Our attic holds my tin dollhouse from the early 60s that I rarely played with, but still can't seem to part with since it is doubtful that a new owner could be easily found.

I hear you. I got some of my dad's rusty saw and completely messed up tool box. Can't get rid of it if my life depended on it

As I age, these transitions pile up; I know it's a part of life, but still...

I love that kitchen! I've always wanted a table in the kitchen since I haven't had one. So many great conversations take place, so many secrets are revealed, such a warm place of gathering. Cheers to the times past when this kitchen was rocking with activity!
